Yera was taken from her family when her parents failed to repay a money lender. She was sold into a rock quarry. She has overcome many challenges, and her caretakers describe her as "resolute and brave." Yera has benefited from counseling and has been working hard to trust the will of God in all things.

She wants to become a nurse, and she loves her science classes at The Sylom Children's Home. She also loves learning about how big the world is through newspapers.

When you sponsor Yera, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
