Winny's parents had been sick for a long time, and he wasn't be well cared for at home. When a human trafficker showed up to offer him work, his parents reluctantly accepted his offer. As a young boy he went to live and work in the quarries of Southern Asia.
Life in the quarries was torture. Winny crushed stones with a hammer and a large nail. He slept outside exposed to the elements. He only got one small meal a day, and he was constantly hungry. He cried himself to sleep every night wishing to be with his parents.
Winny was rescued in the Spring of 2020, and he came to live at The CFC Children's Home. He has recovered his strength since his year in the rock quarry. Today, Winny has started school for the first time. He wants to become a police officer when he grows up.
