Vani's father abandoned her family, and her mother chose to sell her instead of letting the whole family starve. Vani's mother was promised that she would be well-fed, but the people from the rock quarry lied. Vani's life in the rock quarry was terrible. With barely enough to eat, she and other children were forced to work long days in the scorching sun. When our field team rescued her, she was malnourished and far too small for her age.
Today, Vani is 13 years old. She is attending school for the first time, and she really loves the stories from her Bible classes. She is adept at math and hopes to have a job with numbers when she is older.
When you sponsor Vani, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.
When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.
Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
