Raj Kumar was orphaned when his parents died of dengue fever. At 4 years old, he lived as a beggar until a human trafficking took him to be sold at a rock quarry. He was too small for the heavy work so the supervisors had him carry water to workers all throughout the 12-hour workday. He was beaten when he took breaks.
Today, Raj Kumar doesn't carry water. He attends school and has the loving support of caretakers and other children. He spends time outside of school reading, and he has told his caretakers he wants to be like his teachers when he grows up.
When you sponsor Raj Kumar, you take care of his needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in his life.
When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.
Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
