Pavani's mother and father loved each other very much. But her mother died giving birth to their third child, and her father began to abuse alcohol. This alcohol abuse quickly let to physical abuse and neglect. A man who worked for a rock quarry offered to buy Pavani, and her father sold her for drinking money. In the quarry, Pavani worked extreme hours with little food and water. Eventually, she was rescued when pastors, accompanied by policemen, arrived to inspect the quarry.
Now Pavani lives in The Sylom Children's Home, and she has love and support. She is taught about God's love for her. She loves to read, and one day, she hopes to be a doctor.
When you sponsor Pavani, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.
