Mindy's parents were drug addicts. They sold her to a human trafficker for drug money. The human trafficker took her to a rock quarry and handed her over to a supervisor. Mindy was forced to carry granite tiles and make gravel with a hammer for over 12 hours a day. She received one small meal a day. Her skin became infected because of the dust from the rocks.
When our search and rescue team discovered her working in the rock quarry, she was extremely malnourished and frail. They immediately took her to a doctor who prescribed a diet that has helped her regain her strength. Today, she lives at The Sylom Children's Home. All of her needs, including her spiritual ones, are being met. She loves attending school, and she is learning a lot about the world and God. When she is older, she would like to become a doctor.
When you sponsor Mindy, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.
