John's father was arrested and held without bail after he was accused of stealing from his employer. When he was just 9 years old, John went into the rock quarry to work to provide for his mother and older sister. The rock quarry was worse than John ever could have imagined. He worked from before sunrise until after sundown to break rocks and move the chips into trucks. He received just a single meal every day, and he became weak from malnourishment.
After over a year in the quarry, John was found by one of our search and rescue teams. Today, John lives at The CFC Children's Home while our teams look for his family. He has restarted school, and he is in the 5th grade. He is now twelve years old, and someday he hopes to become an advocate for poor children and families. He is extremely thankful to have been rescued from the quarry, and he is learning about the One True God for the first time.
When you sponsor John, you take care of his needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in his life.
When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.
