When Sravanthi was 5 years old her parents were killed in an accident. She went to live with her maternal grandparents, but soon they passed away and she was orphaned. A woman promised to provide her with food and a safe home, so she went with the woman. But the woman took Sravanthi to a rock quarry where she was sold to work carrying rubble.

Supervisors forced Sravanthi and other children to work from sunrise to sundown with little water in the heat of summer. She was hungrier than ever before and cried herself to sleep from the pain of her hunger. Sravanthi became ill from the work and lack of food but somehow survived long enough to be rescued by one of our teams working in the area.

Today, Sravanthi is thriving in school. She is almost fully recovered from her illness, and she has become close with the house mothers who care for the children at The CFC Children's Home. She loves stories, especially ones from the Bible, and she is regaining some of the childhood that she lost in the quarry.

When you sponsor Sravanthi, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
