Cher ran away from home when her dad became abusive after learning about her secret boyfriend. A female human trafficker, pretending to help Cher find a safe place to stay, tricked her into going to a rock quarry where she was kept as a slave. Daily life in the quarry turned from the initial terror into unbearable drudgery filled with sexual abuse and neglect.

In 2017, Cher was rescued by pastors who then took her to live at The Sylom Children's Home. Today, she hopes to become an engineer. She excels in her math classes and loves playing chess any chance she can. Her heart loves that Jesus has rescued her, and she wants to help others rescued physically and spiritually.

When you sponsor Cher, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
