Arna's grandparents fell ill at the same time, and her father began to buckle under the financial strain of both his parents being hospitalized. Arna's parents were lied to by the human traffickers, but when they realized the lie it was too late. Arna was sold to a rock quarry. In addition to the horrible work and working conditions, every woman and girl is sexually abused, including Arna at just 9-years-old. Arna was rescued in the Spring of 2020 and brought to The Sylom Children's Home.

Today, she struggles with nightmares and fear because of the torture she has been through, but she has found a strong voice in singing songs during worship. Arna trusts that God loves her, and that she is safe. She wants to become a police officer so she can learn to defend herself and others. At the children's home, she loves to play with the dogs. In school, she enjoys studying her native language, Telugu, and learning the traditional stories.

When you sponsor Arna, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
