Amber's family lost all their belongings in a devastating flood. They sent her to work in the rock quarries because they had no way to earn an income or purchase food. In the rock quarry, Amber had to work long days breaking stones with a hammer. The supervisors were mean and looked for chances to humiliate all the workers.

After several months, Amber was rescued by some local villagers. Those villagers brought Amber to The Sylom Children's Home. Today, Amber has everything she needs, and we have local teams trying to locate her parents. In the meantime, Amber has started school, and she is thriving in her classes, especially English. Someday, she wants to become a nurse.

When you sponsor Amber, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
