Abraham's parents worked hard but struggled to provide for their children. It's customary to send children to work in Southern Asia, but when Abraham's parents agreed to send him to a rock quarry, they were misled. Abraham was promised good food and a monthly wage, but all of it was a lie. Abraham was a slave.

In the quarry, he worked seemingly endless days on a single meal. His supervisors abused all the children but were merciless to those who they thought didn't work hard enough. More than once, Abraham was beaten with a cane.

Our field team discovered that quarry Abraham was working in along with 23 other children. They were all rescued, and many were reunited with their families. Those with no place to go came to live at The CFC Children's Home. At 10 years old, Abraham has started school for the first time, but he doesn't see himself pursuing higher education. He loves to fix toys and has asked his house father about working with cars and engines as a career.

When you sponsor Abraham, you take care of his needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in his life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
