Hallie's earliest years were spent in a remote village with no electricity and no telephone. A landslide destroyed her family's home, and money lenders showed up with offers to hire the children and provide monthly income for desperate families. Reluctantly, Hallie's illiterate parents agreed not knowing they'd never see her again. The man took her to a rock quarry and sold her.

In the quarry, Hallie lived in the most inhumane conditions imaginable. The work seemed to never end, and the abused workers often died from untreated ailments cause by unclean water and malnutrition. Lost and lonely, Hallie contemplated suicide, but an older woman worker stopped her.

After a time, Hallie was rescued by one of our field teams that search for child workers. Today, she attends school and lives in safety at The CFC Children's Home while our teams look for her parents. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up, and she really loves listening to music. Her favorite subject is English.

When you sponsor Hallie, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
