When Chiti's father became ill, her mother sold her to a quarry. The mother was promised monthly payments, but the monthly payments never arrived. Work in the rock quarry was unbearable. With barely any food to sustain them, the workers broke and moved heavy rocks under a baking sun. Chiti was abused by the foreman. He burned her skin with cigarettes and did many other unspeakable things.

After 3 years, Chiti was rescued from the quarry by social workers, and she came to live at The Sylom Children's Home. When she grows up, she wants to be a doctor. She loves to read, and her favorite part of school is science.

When you sponsor Chiti, you take care of her needs for food and education. You'll get updates from time to time about how you've made a difference and learn about the significant things happening in her life.

When you do what you can For One, you help end child slavery for good.

Dozens of other children are waiting to be connected with a sponsor. See their stories.
